: : GHEC's Conference Mini-Grant
Awarded to Student Regional Conferences with a Focus on Global Health
 

GHEC provides $500 grants to member institutions to produce student regional conferences
with a focus on global health.

 

To qualify for the grant, the applying institution will:

  1) be a current GHEC member
    * if your institution is not a member and wishes to become one, > click here
   
  2) provide a written request by submitting the > application form
   
  3) submit the application no less than four months prior to the proposed date of the event.
   
   
 

* Regional conferences that receive GHEC grants must be overseen/stewarded by a faculty GHEC member of the applying institution and the application approved by that individual.

   
   
All grant recipients will:
  1) include in its regional conference program at least one active GHEC member
(as a panelist, workshop steward, etc.)
   
  2) provide to GHEC copies of conference brochures, handouts, video tapes or other
pertinent program material to be used by GHEC for archival, funding, publicity, marketing, fundin or other purposes
   
  3) if requested, allot time and space in its conference program for a GHEC-produced
activity (such as a panel, workshop, etc.)
   
  4) if requested, provide to its conference audience evaluation forms produced by GHEC,
or by conference producers in collaboration with GHEC
   
  5) if requested, distribute GHEC materials to the conference audience
   
  6) place the provided GHEC banner in a prominent location in the main conference space
   
  7) file within 30 days after the conference a report detailing the evaluation of audience demographics and evaluation of program activities, final budget
   
   
All grant applicants and recipients are encouraged to:
  1) check the GHEC website to see topics, themes featured at previous regional conferences for ideas, suggestions prior to planning their conference
