Event Title: "Mt. Sinai Global Health Conference"
Event Description: The theme of the conference is, "Exploring evidence-based solutions to global health problems".  William Karesh, DVM,  will speak about how avian flu is at the intersection of humans, wildlife and livestock, and then join a panel discussion with other avian flu experts. Mori Morikawa, MD, will present his research on preventing landmine injuries, and then lead small group discussions on prevention and treatment strategies. Richard Allen of the MENTOR Initiative will share his experience on implementing evidence-based strategies to combat malaria in complex emergencies, and then will also moderate small group work groups.
