GHEC is governed by an elected Board of Directors with an Executive Committee composed of its president, secretary, treasurer, and president-elect, immediate-past president and executive director. It operates through a Secretariat, now based in New York City, and through standing and product-oriented committees. Members participate in three general program areas: education policy related to global health; global health education electives and curriculum; and global heath institutional partnerships.
